Why have I never read this before? It is on the required reading for so many high schools…Well, it was a good read. Short and to the point. Not rambling or loquacious. I enjoyed it in that is was probably real-life. Euthanasia, killing, etc. Heady topics for the time of publication, but pales in comparison today. I probably read it too much on the surface, not caring that George was trying to protect Lennie, who was the real danger; that the characters has dreams that were never realized; that Lennie killed everything he wanted to protect. There’s a lot of symbolism in this one. Probably too much. 🙂

Highly recommended.
