Rachel and Carmen get together and discuss books they really wanted to love, but didn’t. They have too much fun in this episode and turn it into two. So stay turned for part B. Leave us a comment about which books you really wanted to love, and why you didn’t; and, of course, check us out on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
Just like you, Carmen-with Where the Crawdads Sing, I put off reading The Help. I got SO SICK of hearing about it constantly, especially when the movie came out and literally EVERY OTHER commercial was about it. Surprise! When I finally read it, I loved it!
WHAT!!!???? Carmen, you didn’t like 11/22/63??!?? I agree it was long, but hey, it was genius!!!
Rachel, I agree about Marley and Me.
Oh no…I haven’t read Eleanor Oliphant yet….now I’m worried and “lalalalala’d” during your critiques. 🙉
Da Vinci Code…yes, Hank’s hair WAS bad, but the book was awesome!
If you want the best thrillers COMBINED with the best dialog… Read John Sanford. Any of the Prey series (except for Masked Prey) or any of the Virgil Flowers series!!!❤️
But who wouldn’t want to eat pie (pun intended)
Keyser Soze
Rachel, I felt about The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown as you do about The Secret. I thought I would gain something and would like it….NOT. I hated it.
OMGoodness, I can detect a debut while reading too!
I love you guys!!!!!
Janet…We love you! Thank you for listening. And LOL – your comments are perfection.
Janet – Luckily Rachel read it before all the fuss and she loved it.
