In this episode, Carmen and Rachel are talking about books we have read that cause us to need a little break before starting another. Comment and let us know which books caused you to take a reading break, and why. And, of course, continue to check us out on Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok.
The books always are better than the movie!!! Recently, saw the “Where the Craw Dags Sing “ in the theaters and it was pretty close to the book but certain scenes weren’t portrayed in the same fashion. Most of all, I was very disappointed in the casting crew who portrayed the characters in the book. I envisioned Kya to be more articulate and Chase (the jerk boyfriend) to be more verbally versed than a stupid shallow thug. Am I the only one who has high expectations when Characters are not matched to their equivalents or am I too demanding? I think it’s just best to watch the movie or read the book alone rather than watching the movie after reading the book. Otherwise your walking a way disappointed.
Reading is so personalized. Movie producers and directors don’t want to re-tell the “story” but to create a “movie” that makes money. So YES!! Books are always better.
